ABOUT ME
My name is Clyde Hanna, and I was born in Edinburgh in 2004. I've since lived in Canada, Portugal, and the Netherlands (where I'm currently based, in Rotterdam). I've been making films since I was 10 years old, but I've positioned myself differently over the years and tried to learn about every facet of the process.
In 2026, I completed my BA in Audiovisual Design at the Willem de Kooning Academie with my third short film Blue Man in Orange, for which I received funding from NPO 3Lab and which I'm planning to release soon under AvroTros.
I've always had a strong passion for telling personal/intimate stories, often set in absurd scenarios. Along with the visual language, the music, and the performances, I'm especially interested in film sound and how it shapes a story. That's why I decided to specialise as a sound recordist and sound designer after graduating, looking to immerse myself in the Dutch independent and industry filmmaking worlds.
On the side, I really enjoy analogue photography and making music.
